Birchbox: April 2015

This month, Birchbox and Rifle Paper Co teamped up to bring us a great box of goodies.

The box and goodies:
The products:
-Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Moisturizing Shampoo & Repairing Conditioner.
-Jouer Tint in "Petal"
-Wei Manuka Bee Venom Mask
-Whish Shave Cream Shaving Cream- Blueberry Scent

My Thoughts: This is probably the best Birchbox that I've received since I started subscribing. I will use each of these products. I'm in love with the pretty box, so I think that I'll be keeing this one and finding a use for it. I love Whish shaving cream, but I've never tried the blueberry scent, so I'm, excited to try it out. I can always use shampoo and conditioner, and I love trying new face masks. The Jouer tint cane be used as either a pigment for lips or cheeks. I'll probably use it as a nice blush for Spring.! Brichbox certainly did not disappoint this month!

DottieBox: March 2015

I'm back!!! I took a bit of a blogging hiatus during the very busy month of February, but I'm back. March is starting with crazy amounts of snow and DottieBox in my mailbox.

The Goodies:

Totally Tish "Inspire" Necklace: This necklace is silver tone with black lettering. Simple with a good message. The charm is about 1" long.

Harvest Co. "Sparkle and Shine" Pencils: these pencils are gold tone and embossed with the phrase "Sparkle and Shine" near the eraser.

Life in Mint Vintage Bottle Cap Magnets: This set of 4 magnets is really cute. I love a good vintage throwback!

Itty Bitty Bubbles & Co Bubble Bath Cup: This cup is supposed to contain everything you need for a great bubble bath. It smells great!

DottieBox Chalkboard Labels: This packet includes 10 labels and a stick of chalk. These are cute and would great for labeling things at a get-together.

My thoughts: This box included a really great variety of things- we got jewelry, bath products, office supplies, and household goods. I think this was a perfect body!

DottieBox: February 2015

My February dottiebox came while I was away on a quick vacation. DottieBox sends 3-4 artisan products each month for $20+$6 shipping. They also have a mini box for less that comes during the third week of the month.

This Month's Goodies:

-OneWord Designs Print I love the bright color of this print. It's uplifting during a cold, dark month.

-The Sudsy Soapery Aromatherapy Candle: This candle is a lavender and spearmint scent. It has loose lavender on top that I suppose gets caught in the melted wax once the candle is lit.

-Natural Soap Co Blueberry Bar Soap: This soap smells just like blueberry and has glitter on it.

-Dottiebox Hand Lettered Mug:This mug has "I love you a latte" handwritten in what I'm guessing is permanent marker.

My thoughts: Once again, another DottieBox that I love. I've already got a spot to hand the print!

Pennie Post: February 2015

My Pennie Post subscription came in the mail on Friday, but I went out of town on a much needed vacation, so sorry for the delay. Pennie Post is $11/month and sends 4 stationary items. I have never received a Pennie Post that I didn't love, and this month is no exception.

The Goodies:

Treatsie: January 2015

I'm so excited that my delicious Treatsie box came in the mail. Treatsie is a subscription that is $19 a month and sends a selection of artisan sweets. I have never received something in a Treatsie box that I didn't love.

The January Goodies:

-Buddha Chocolate Almond Butter Cup: This cup is hand-poured, slow-roasted almond butter paired with stone-ground dark chocolate.

-Dallas Caramel Company Armadillos and Caramel Assortment: The Armadillos are Texas pecans sandwiched between caramel and dark chocolate. The caramel assortment includes the flavors apple pie, chocolate, cinnamon, coconut, orange, original, sea salt, and Texas drunken nut.

My thoughts: This box is on-point. I love caramels and I can't wait to dis the biscotti in a warm winter drink. I've never ad an almond butter cup, so I'm interested to try that as well. Great job, Treatsie Sweets!!

MIssion Cute: January 2015

Mission Cute is $39/month, less if you have a multi-month subscription, and they also have a mini-box that starts at $17/month. Mission Cute donates 50% of their proceeds to a different non-profit each month. This month's non-profit is One Simple Wish. One Simple Wish was started in 2008 "to empower more people to support children who've been victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment in very simple yet meaningful ways." You can nominate a charity at MissionCute.com/community.

The January Box Goodies:

-MissionCute Mason Jar Tunbler: This 25oz tumbler came with a pink lid and pink straw. Perfect! Thank you MissionCute to supporting my cup addiction.

-MissionCute Jewelry Roll: I actually have never owned a jewelry roll, and it has let to a few lost earrings and tangled necklaces. I'm excited to add this to my collection!

-One Word Designs "Slow Down & Enjoy Life" Print: This 5x7 print is a nice reminder to display after the busy holiday season. Mine is already hanging in my kitchen!

-MissionCute Mint Cable Knitted Headband: This headband is sure to keep ears warm, and the color is so cute!

-MissionCute Pearl Drop Necklace: This necklace is gold-toned and is unique without being over-stated.

My thoughts: Another perfect box from MissionCute! I'm pretty sure my favorite thing is the tumbler, and I'm so excited to have a jewelry roll to use when I travel in less than two weeks. I don't feel so bad about my subscription box addiction when I know that 50% of the proceeds from this wonderful box went to a good cause.

DottieBox: January 2015

DottieBox came in the mail! DottieBox sends 3-4 artisan products each month for $20+$6 shipping. They also have a mini box for less that comes during the third week of the month.

This month's goodies:

Graciuos Bee Greetings Easel Desktop Calendar ($11), www.etsy.com/shop/GraciousBeeGreetings: This is the cutest little calendar. It's about 3 inches tall and 3 inches across when it's on the easel. I love the design, and I think it will go nicely on my dresser.

-The Vinyl Company "Hello" Door or Wall Decal ($6), www.etsy.com/shop/TheVinylCompany: This is a vinyl hello sticker in white. I like that it's simple decoration for the house entrance. Our doors and walls are white, so I'm not sure yet where to put this, but I'll eventually find the perfect place. The picture is of the vinyl still in it's paper.

-Cuppow Wide Mouth Jar Drinking Lid ($9), www.cuppow.com: This is a great idea! You just take this lid and place it on top of an canning jar. Then you screw on the metal ring and BAM- you have a travel cup! Brilliant!

-Running Blynd Decorative Clothespins/Thumb Tacks ($7), www.etsy.com/RunningBlynd: This pack of 10 clothespins and 4 thumb tacks is covered in gold glitter. I'm thinking that I'm going to put magnet tape on the back of the clothespins and take the thumbtacks to the office. They're so pretty!

My thoughts: I always love DottieBox. This month's items showcase some pretty creative talents. I can't wait to make use of each of these items, and I'm super excited for my mini box in a few weeks!

Pennie Post: January 2015

PENNIE POST is my very first subscription to arrive in 2015!! Pennie Post sends 3-4 stationary items a month and costs $11. This month the theme is "White Winter" and features Pennie Post's first screen printed cards.

The goodies;

-Midnight Polar Bear Card: This card is so cute. I can't wait to use it. The paper is dark, so I'll need to scrounge up a metallic or white pen. Where does someone find a white pen?

-Birch Tree Forest Card: This card is simple and yet so neat. I love the details of a forest. It makes me think of winter snow on the trees.

-Thank You Bubble Note Card:  This simple card has plenty of space for a nice note. Plus, the envelope is a pretty mint green. Can't wait to write a note and send it off!

My thoughts:  I have never received a Pennie Post that I didn't love. This month's cards are great. The two screen printed cards are super cute. Pennie Post is the best!

Treatsie: December 2014

TREATSIE was my last December subscription box to arrive, but it is also one that was WORTH THE WAIT!! I love Treatsie. It's $19 a month and sends a selection of 4 yummy handmade treats! I have never received a Treatsie box that I didn't love, and this month is no exception.

The goodies:

-Newfangled Confections Frittle: Frittle is a cross between peanut brittle and peanut fudge. It's crispy, but not nearly impossible to eat like brittle can be. Anything peanut butter is always a win for me.

-Ticket Chocolate Peppermit Hot Chocolate on a Stick: This is a belgian milk chocolate block and an old-fashioned peppermint stick combined together to be stirred into hot milk to make a fresh cup of cocoa. Cocoa is one of my very favorite cold weather treats. I can't wait to try this!

Grey Ghost Bakery Cranberry Orange Pcan Cookies: I love the combination of orange and cranberry, and pecans add extra yumminess to any cookie. These cookies came in a pack of two. I can't decide if I will share or eat them both!

-Serendipity Confections Gingerbread Caramels: Caramel is so yummy, and gingerbread is a lovely holiday flavor. A bonus- these are organic!

My thoughts: Who doesn't love artisan sweets? No one that I know. I am so excited to try each of these goodies. The flavors in the box remind me of the holidays. Perfect!

Walmart puts out a beauty box once a season. It's $5, which is the shipping fee. The products themselves are free.  If you subscribe, they bill you once a box is released and then send it to you.

The Goodies:

-L'Oreal Oleo Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner: This shampoo and conditioner is sulfate free and is formulated with a 6 flower-oil blend. The bottles are 2 fl oz each, so pretty good sizes.

-Jergens BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream: This cream is for all light skin tones and is supposed to products results in 5 days of use. It says that it hydrates, illuminates, evens, firms, and corrects. The sample is 1 oz.

-Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in "Maple Kiss": This is a full-sized lipstick is a red-brown shade.

-Olay Fresh Effects "Everything Off" Face Wipes: I can never get enough face wipes. Love it! This package has 7 wipes- perfect for the travel bag or purse!

Maybelline powder sample & Nivea lotion sample: These are small samples that I probably won't use, so I'll pass them along in a divvy.

My thoughts: You can't go wrong with the Walmart Beauty Box. The value is always there and I love discovering new products!

Box of Happies: December 2014

Box of Happies is a subscription box that send 3 to 5 unique handmade products It's $24.99 + $4.99 shipping each month.

This month there were 4 items sent in their traditional plastic box that I like to reuse for makeup and other things.

The Goodies:

-Creative Window Hanging Mason Lar Lid ($3.47): This is pretty neat! You screw it on to any mason jar and then hang it up! I'm thinking of using it either to put flowers in or to put birdseed in. We'll see. This came from Creative Window- www.creativewindow.etsy.com

The Pickle Queen Stud Earrings ($7): These earrings are made from polymer clay. They're about the size of a pea and are purple, green, and gold. Makes me think of Mardi Gras!

-Box of Happies keychain ($6):This tassel keychain is a lot like the necklace they sent a few months ago. It's a nice size and the green is great for the holdiay!

Box of Happies Necklace & Earrings ($16): This necklace and earrings are super cute. The earrings are very delicate little feathers and the necklace is a birdcage.

My thoughts: Box of Happies did a really good job with this box. Each of the items is super unique and you can tell a lot of hard work went into them.

PopSugar MustHave: December 2014

PopSugar MustHave is probably my very favorite subscription box. I always love the things they send, and I know that I'll be receiving quality products in my box. The box is $40/month and includes about 6 different products ranging from snacks to accessories and makeup.

The goodies:
-Williams-Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean: Williams-Sonoma is one of those luxury brands that always send a catalog to drool over, but very few of my friends or I can afford the products in it. This cupcake mix retails for $14.95. For my group of friends, that is an insane amount to pay for something that is going to make a dozen cupcakes. Receiving this in a box makes me feel just a little more "Martha Stewart."

-Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl: This hand-painted bowl has a platinum interior and is perfect to hold rings or small baubles on a dresser. Love it!

-Knot & Bow Parcel Tags: This little package contains 10 blue cardstock tags. What I love about this is that they aren't specific to the holidays- I can use the anytime!

-Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in "Bordeaux": This is a high-quality lip color with a great pigment that is perfect for the winter.

Sparklepop Sydney Necklace: This necklace is 18K gold-plated and has a super long chain that can be worn as it, wrapped once and then hung, or layered with shorter necklaces. I love wearing my necklaces long, so this is perfect for me!

-SPUN by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metalic Scarf: This is a festive speckled scarf that is great to add the extra pop any outfit needs. It's also super soft!

My thoughts: PopSugar boxes never fail to disappoint!! These boxes bring a unique mix of whimsy, class, and luxury that no other box does. If I had to cancel all subscriptions but one, PopSugar MustHave would be the one I would keep. What an awesome December box!

BeautyBox5: December 2014

My BeautyBox5 came in the mail yesterday! BeautyBox5 is $12/month, although you can get it for much less with sales and a yearly subscription. Mine costs me between $7-$8. Like the name suggests, they send you 5 beauty products monthly. The products are usually sample size and tend to be drugstore level. I usually get things like nail polish, shampoo, and body wash. Last month they send flossers.

This month's goodies:

-Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6: This fragrance is a "blend of lotus, tiger lily, cashmere woods, and jasmine." I'm set with fragrance for now, so I'll be passing this along to someone else.

-Nanacoco Nail Polish in "Gold": This is a great glittery holiday polish. This has both fine and chunky glitter, which I think is awesome.

-Body Drench Lip Drench in "Pomegranate": This appears to be like any other lip balm. I can always find a use for another lip balm, but I don't necessarily see this as something particularly exciting.

-Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads in "Spring Fresh": This is a cute little container of nail polish remover rounds. Great for in your purse or weekend bag. Love it!

-Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer: I love seeing Juice Beauty in any subscription box. I've never used their moisturizer, but I'm sure I'll like it as much as their other products. This tube is a decent size, probably enough to use it for a week. That means that I can really get a feel for whether or not I like it.

My thoughts: All of the products in this box are things I can use. BeautyBox5 is a great subscription for anyone who like to try beauty products but doesn't wear a lot of makeup. They always include plenty of body and skin products. Plus, you can't beat the price!
